The popular adage goes
"Early to bed and early to rise, Makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise".
As far as we can remember we can recall our mothers, grandmothers or great grandmothers asking us to get up early. Up to a certain age we obeyed them, however no sooner we grew up than we started defining our own rules and rising early featured last in list. Today, with the internet and media being available to us 24*7, we all the more enjoy night life. It is not just about going on a long drive to some posh ice cream parlor on NH7 or NH10 boozing with your friends or shaking hips to some foot tapping peppy number in a cosy discotheque; even if we want to study, finish up our incomplete work, browse through some website, catch up with a friend over the phone we all prefer night. We can be wide awake till 2 or 3 in the morning and then we snore up till afternoon. We are ecstatic as we have accomplished our targets blissfully ignoring the fact that this practice of ours is taking a toll on our health. As the process of deterioration of our health subtle and gradual, we do not register it. However in due course of time it starts reflecting in the form of headaches, body ache, dizziness, insomnia etc. So the more we are addicted to executing a work during the dark hours, the more prone we are to falling sick. This doesn’t end here. It has now been scientifically proven that our minds are more productive and fertile at dawn i.e. early in the morning. Consequently, whatever we do at this time be it talking to oneself, thinking about a big problem of our life, studying, meditating, exercising, the result is far better than what we do at night. It is just because the mind is clutter free. It is the ideal time to study or learn something new as the mind is more receptive. Learning takes place in half the time and retention is longer. Thus leaving us with more hours at our end. Let us all utilize the most fruitful hours of everyday for our utmost benefit.
The first step to being healthy, the first step to rapid learning and understandings, the first step to success. Wake Up Early!!!
Yes!! The secret is unleashed. Come, let’s create wonders.
